Tuition & Housing FAQs

Where can I find BAA tuition costs?
You can find tuition information for all BAA Master Classes, Workshops and Intensives on our Tuition Costs page.

How do I register for programs and pay my tuition?
Click HERE to register for programs, pay your tuition or complete an existing order. BAA accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, check or money order.

Do I have to pay a deposit to hold my spot?
For all Workshops and Intensives, students must submit a $300.00 deposit payment to secure their spot. You will be informed of the deadline for this payment when you receive your acceptance e-mail from our Admissions Department.

Is there a payment plan available for BAA tuition?
You will be able to pay your $300.00 deposit and the remaining tuition balance in two separate installments online, provided that both payments are received by their respective deadlines. If you would like to break your tuition up into smaller payments, simply call the office and we will be able to process the desired amounts over the phone.

What happens if I do not pay my tuition by the deadline?
If we have not received your full tuition payment by the deadline, your spot will be released to another student and you will be placed on the wait list. Once the deadline has passed, BAA can no longer guarantee you a spot in the program to which you were accepted.

Does BAA provide housing for me while I am taking classes in NYC?
No. Students are responsible for their own room and board while attending BAA programs; however, we always offer one or more recommended hotels where BAA students and their family members can receive a group rate discount. For more information about these hotels, please click HERE.

Does BAA provide chaperones at the recommended hotels?
YES! There will be at least one BAA chaperone at each of the recommended hotels. The chaperone will walk BAA students from classes and activities each day and he or she will also be on hand in the event of an emergency.

How old do I have to be to stay in the recommended hotels without a parent or guardian?
For the BAA recommended hotels (and most other NYC hotels), you must be at least 15 years of age to stay in a hotel room without a parent or guardian.

How can I find a roommate for my time at BAA?
Students are responsible for finding their own roommates while in NYC. Many students “Like” our Facebook page and post roommate inquiries on our Timeline. Just be aware that any personal information you post here is visible to the entire BAA Facebook community! We recommend that you post a general message on the Timeline and then converse using private messages. You may also elect to be placed on a housing/carpooling contact list when you complete your online application.

Is my tuition refundable in the event that I cannot attend BAA classes for any reason?
Click HERE to view the official BAA Refund/Cancellation Policy.

How do I become a STAR member and get the STAR member discount?
Once you have attended a total of 15 days of class with BAA, you are eligible to become a Star Member! Star Members receive priority registration and a 5% discount for all BAA programs, and they do not have to pay an annual application fee. Click HERE to apply for Star Membership online.

Are there any scholarship opportunities available to me?
BAA offers a limited number of need-based partial scholarships. Click HERE to read more about the BAA scholarship application process.
