AUDITION VIDEO REQUIREMENTS
(Guidelines for your DVD, CD, and Video Auditions)
* While a live audition is always preferred, if a city near you is not currently scheduled on our audition tour, the requirements for a video for acceptance consideration are below.
VOICE MAJORS
Demonstrate vocal range, musicianship, and performance skills by selecting 2 contrasting 16 - 32 bars of music (I.e. up-tempo / ballad, belt / legit). Your musical selections are your choice, but should be from the musical theater classic or contemporary repertoire.
ACTING MAJORS
Demonstrate acting range, depth, and performance quality by choosing 2 contrasting monologues, 2 minutes or under (I.e. Contemporary / classical), or 1 monologue and 1 short scene with a partner.
DANCE MAJORS
Demonstrate dance technique, flexibility, contrasting styles of movement, (i.e. Jazz / ballet, tap / modern) and performance quality by performing a solo piece in 5 minutes or under. You may perform 2 or 3 different pieces as long as you do not go over the 5 minute limit.

Submissions are not required to be of professional video quality but they must be clear enough for us to undoubtedly recognize the applicant. Please, no group recital or group dance competition videos! (Solo submissions are acceptable)
Audition videos may be submitted in one of two ways:
1.) PREFERRED METHOD: You may submit your audition materials, headshot and resume online by emailing them to auditions@broadwayartistsalliance.org. Your video clips may be directly attached to the email, or you may post them on a public site like YouTube or Vimeo and submit the links. Your headshot should be attached as a JPEG file and your resume may be attached either as a PDF file or a Word Document.
2.) You may send your DVD, headshot and resume to our office:

You will receive notification via email when your materials have been received. You will be notified of your acceptance status via email within two weeks of the date we receive your materials.
