Monday   ~   August 8, 2005

2:00 - 4:00 Hotel Check-In (Request early check in, if possible)
3:45 - 4:00 Those staying at Park Central or Radio City Suites meet in lobby to walk over to Ailey Studios with a staff member
4:15 Second group/ late comers meet in lobby and leave for studio with a staff member
4:00 - 5:00 Orientation/Registration (commuting students should be dropped off at Ailey’s main entrance on 55th Street and 9th Ave at 4:00 pm)
5:00 - 7:00 PLACEMENT AUDITIONS
Singers - Please prepare TWO contrasting 2 MINUTE pieces (e.g. up-tempo/ballad, legit/belt). Be sure to bring your sheet music! (in addition, singers may prepare an optional 2 MINUTE monologue)
Actors - Please prepare TWO brief contrasting monologues. Your selections should total 5 MINUTES or less. (in addition, actors may prepare an optional 2 MINUTE song)
Dancers - In addition to the group DANCE PLACEMENT AUDITION, dancers must also choose to audition with a song and/or monologue (or both!).
GENERAL NOTE: Be prepared to announce the name and author of your audition selections.
7:00 - 8:30 DANCE PLACEMENT AUDITIONS

All students regardless of chosen major, are required to participate in a mock Broadway dance audition. BRING TAP & JAZZ SHOES or DANCE SNEAKERS!
8:30 - 9:30 Rehearsals begin for the final Showcase! This music rehearsal will focus on the music from the opening number

11:00am - 1:00pm Broadway Dance Repertoire

5:00 - 6:00pm Showcase Music Rehearsal and Review
• Please bring a nice change of clothes for this evening’s special activity! We will be leaving to attend a Broadway Show, directly from the Ailey Studios!
6:00 - 6:40pm Prepare for Broadway Show attendance
(Dressing Rooms are available at the Ailey Studios)
Pizza and snacks will be provided
6:40pm Short walk to Broadway Show escorted by staff
7:00 pm Attend a Broadway Show!
(Attending parents, please note the early 7:00 show time)
9:45 pm Approximate pick up time for commuting students

All other students will be escorted back to the hotel by staff
11:00 pm Lights out! (Rest up and prepare yourself for another busy day!)
