Saturday   ~   February 17th

(10:00am Commuter Drop Off- Ripley Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue)
Commuting students should be dropped off at Ripley Grier Studios at 10:00am sharp!
The Studios main entrance is located at 520 Eighth Avenue (between 36th and 37th Street). A BAA Staff member will be positioned at the elevators to guide participants from the Lobby to the studios. We will be on the 16th Floor- Studios 17A, 17B,17C and 17D!
9:30am Parents of Participants staying at The Wingate Inn or Hilton Garden Inn meet in the Hotel Lobby for a brief 10 min Parent Orientation.
9:40am Hotel based participants check in with BAA escorts to depart for Ripley Grier Studios. Don’t be late! We will leave promptly at 9:40am.
10:00am - 11:00am Orientation/ Registration/ Introductions/ Theatre Games

1:00pm - 3:00pm PLACEMENT AUDITIONS (16 - 32 BARS and MONOLOGUES)
Singers - Please prepare TWO contrasting brief pieces (e.g. up-tempo / ballad, legit / belt). Be sure to bring your sheet music! (in addition, singers may prepare an optional 2 MINUTE monologue)
Actors - Please prepare TWO brief contrasting monologues. Your selections should total 5 MINUTES or less. (as another option, actors may prepare ONE 2 MINUTE monologue and 16 bars of a song)
Dancers - In addition to the group DANCE PLACEMENT AUDITION, dancers must also choose to audition with ONE song and/or monologue (or both!)
GENERAL NOTE: Be prepared to announce the title and author of your audition selections.
3:00pm - 5:00pm MASTER CLASS in your MAJOR:
Students will take ONE of the following 4 classes. You may select a class that is not within your Major, if it interests you most.

7:00pm - 8:30pm EVENING OPPORTUNITY: Capezio Outing Night
Capezio’s Flagship Store remains open for BAA private party night and professional shopping discount! Participants and Parents invited. Capezio is located at 1650 Broadway (at 51st St.) 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10019. This event is OPTIONAL.

(Please note that Drowsy Chaperone is performed without an intermission)
4:30pm Students participate in a Talk Back, Q & A with the cast and crew of The Drowsy Chaperone!
