Saturday   ~   February 16th

(11:00am Commuter Drop Off- Ripley Grier Studios, 520 Eighth Avenue)
Commuting students should be dropped off at Ripley Grier Studios at 11:00am sharp!
The Studios main entrance is located at 520 Eighth Avenue (between 36th and 37th Street). A BAA Staff member will be positioned at the elevators to guide participants from the Lobby to the studios. We will be on the 16th Floor
10:15am Parents of Participants staying at The Wingate Inn meet in the Hotel Lobby for a brief 10-15 min Parent Orientation.
10:45am Hotel based participants check in with BAA escorts to depart for Ripley Grier Studios. Don’t be late! We will leave promptly at 10:45am.
11:00am - 12:00am Orientation/ Registration/ Introductions/ Theatre Games
(Ages 10 - 14 in 16D, Ages 15 - 19 in 16FG)
12:00am - 2:00pm DANCE PLACEMENT AUDITIONS

2:45pm - 5:30pm PLACEMENT AUDITIONS (16 BARS and MONOLOGUES)
Singers - Please prepare TWO contrasting 16 bar selections (e.g. up-tempo / ballad, legit / belt). Be sure to bring your sheet music! (in addition, singers may prepare an optional 2 MINUTE monologue)
Actors - Please prepare TWO brief contrasting monologues. Your selections should total 5 MINUTES or less. (as another option, actors may prepare ONE 2 MINUTE monologue and 16 bars of a song)
Dancers - In addition to the group DANCE PLACEMENT AUDITION, dancers must also choose to audition with ONE song and/or monologue
GENERAL NOTE: Be prepared to announce the title and author of your audition selections.

7:00pm - 8:30pm Broadway Show Group #1 (Mary Poppins)
Students who have selected Mary Poppins as their Broadway Show remain at Ripley Grier Studios for a pre-show Pizza Party!
7:30pm Broadway Show Group #1 is escorted by BAA Staff to The New Amsterdam Theatre for an 8:00pm Performance of Mary Poppins
After the Show BAA Chaperones escort BAA hotel participants back to The Wingate Hotel
