Broadway Artists Alliance Student Success Stories

ARIANNA GRANDE (Winter '08) was just cast in Jason Robert Brown's new musical, 13 on Broadway! She recently finished the Goodspeed Opera House production, and will be moving to Broadway this Fall!

AMANDA CASTAÑOS (Spring Awakening Workshop January, '08) was just cast in SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway! She will be playing the role of Martha.

MORGAN KARR (Summer '05) was just cast in SPRING AWAKENING on Broadway! He will be swinging the non-principal roles and understudying the role of Moritz.

CORRIEANNE STEIN (Summer '08) was recently cast in Elton Johns' upcoming Broadway Production of BILLY ELLIOT! She begins rehearsals immediately!

MADDIE TAYLOR (Winter and Summer '06) signed with top NY agent Nancy Carson, and has recently completed the filming of a lead role in the Feature Film, THE GIRL NEXT DOOR - based on the Jack Ketchum novel of that title. Maddie also completed filming the HBO series JOHN ADAMS in which she plays John Adams' daughter, as well as a principal role in LAW AND ORDER: SVU.

MATTHEW ROBERTSON (Summer '07, Winter '08) met and signed with Carson Adler Agency and Sinclair Management from meeting them during the summer intensive. He recently booked the role of Friedrich in the Asia Tour of THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

ALEXANDRA SCOLARI (Summer '06) has been cast in 13, a new musical by Tony® Award-winning composer, and Broadway Artists Alliance guest instructor, Jason Robert Brown. 13 began previews Dec. 22, 2006 at The Mark Taper Forum in Los Angeles. Alex is a featured cast member as well as understudying the lead role.

JACE CASEY, BRITTANY O'GRADY, and CAITLIN O'GRADY (Summer '07) have been cast in THE CHRISTMAS CAROL at Washington DC's historic Ford's Theater.

JACE CASEY (Summer '07) is currently playing a lead role in Signature Theatre's THE HAPPY TIME, a revival of the 1948 Kander and Ebb Broadway show. Jace is enjoying working with John Kander himself on the revival. Read more about it at BroadwayWorld.com

DONNELL JAMES FOREMAN (Summer '06) recently finished performing in a premiere workshop, LUCK!, by (BAA Master Class Instructor) Brad Ross. He is currently on tour with the National Touring Company of HAIRSPRAY playing the role of Seaweed! (Donnell first met Hairspray's Casting Director, Bob Cline at BAA!)

SCOTT GALINA (Summer '05 & '06) was nominated for a 2008 High School Theatre Award. He is nominated in the Best Supporting Actor Category for his portrayal of Max Detweiler in Suffern High School's production of THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

BARRY NELSON (Summer '05) was nominated for a 2008 High School Theatre Award. He is nominated in the Best Leading Actor category for his portrayal of Joseph in Clarkstown High School South's production of JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT.

BRIAN SCHWARTZ (Winter '07, '08, Summer '07) Signed with Station 3 Entertainment (Manager) and The Carson Organization as a result of his Broadway Artists Alliance Showcase performance.

GABI CARRUBBA (Summer '05 and '07) recently returned from a year on tour with the National Tour of ANNIE. She was an orphan and also understudied the title role (which she had the opportunity to play to rave reviews at Madison Square Garden).

DESIREE SAMLER (Summer '07) recently performed the role of Susan Waverly in the Denver Center for Performing Arts' Production of White Christmas for which she received a Denver Post Ovation nomination for best young actor.

CARTER REDWOOD (Summers '05 and '06) signed with top NYC agent, Nancy Carson of the Carson-Adler Agency following his 2006 Final Showcase Performance.

SAMANTHA SKOW (Summers '05, '06 and '07, Winter '06 and '07) has recently performed the role of Martha in the Original NYC workshop of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 2! She has also been busy with callbacks for HAIRSPRAY (on tour, Broadway, and at Weston Playhouse), Broadway's revival of GREASE, CINDERELLA (Asian Tour), and the new movie MASTERCLASS starring Faye Dunaway. She recently signed with RKS Management, Ltd. and top NYC agent Dina Bogner.

MICHAEL PESKO (Summer '06) was recruited and signed by Sinclair Management during the week of The Summer Intensive '06. Before the week was out, his tap dancing skills had landed him a callback for a principal character in an upcoming Feature Film.

ALLIY DRAGO (Summer '07) recently performed with the Staten Island Philharmonic in a concert of KISS ME KATE, and signed with Prestige Entertainment Talent Management.

KRYSTEN WAGNER (Winter '07, Summer '07) is appearing in WITCH CHRISTMAS, an Equity Showcase production at Manhattan Theater Source.

NIKI and NILA SAYWER (Summer '05 and '06) completed a successful run of the twin starring roles in SIDE SHOW at Westchester Broadway Theater. They have also recently signed with a top NY Management.

DANIELLE EDEN (Summer '05, '06 and '07) was cast in a new musical called MEET JOHN DOE at historic Ford's Theater (in conjunction with Goodspeed) in Washington, DC. Danielle will be attending NYU's Tisch School of the Arts in the fall.

CARLY PALMINTERI (Summer '06) recently completed working as a featured dancer in a music video for Melissa Gunderson, an up and coming singer/actress. Carly will most likely continue as Melissa's featured dancer for her future concerts and music videos.

DONNELL JAMES FOREMAN (Summer '06) recently finished performing in a premiere workshop, Luck!, by (BAA Master Class Instructor) Brad Ross and Mark Waldrop at Pace University where he is pursuing a degree in theatre.

VERONICA RODELL (Summer '06) recently sang lead vocals for Disney in the production of HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL in the nationally televised Cherry Blossom Parade held in Washington D.C. She also booked and filmed her first SAG Independent Film, INDELIABLE, directed by Randall Dottin, and got to work with amazing producers including Melani Orman, a great crew, and an amazing cast including Tristan Wilds from The Wire on HBO and Half Nelson! She is very excited to be receiving her SAG card (She got the role through her agent Shirley Faison of the Carson-Adler Agency). Veronica has been busy auditioning and other things here and there including being the Junior Assistant for the Fosse Intensive held in Philadelphia.

ANNE CLARE GIBBONS-BROWN (Master Classes and Summer '08) recently shot a principal role on LAW & ORDER (season 18, episode 8). She performed with Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings, 24, etc). She also sang the role of Little Fan (Scrooge's sister) in A CHRISTMAS CAROL and played the part of Mary Warren in Arthur Miller's THE CRUCIBLE at the Center for Performing Arts.

ALLIY DRAGO (Summer '07) received Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress as Anita in West Side Story and will attend Syracuse University in BFA musical theater program in fall of 2008.

PHIL CRUMRINE (Winter '07) is currently attending The Boston Conservatory of Music as a Musical Theatre major. After meeting with the Carson-Adler Agency at the 2007 Winter Intensive, Phil was called in to sign with top NYC agent, Nancy Carson.
