Tyrick Wiltez Jones

(Actor/Director/Choreographer) has been in the entertainment business since he was 16 yrs old and has been fortunate to work as a performer, choreographer, and director. Broadway credits include Howard in Finian’s Rainbow and Hairspray. National Touring credits include Bat Out of Hell (Jagwire), Miss Saigon, Seussical, Fosse, and Show Boat. He was on the 60th Annual Grammy Awards singing back-up for world renowned recording artist, Sam Smith. He originated the role of Larry in the World Premiere of Higher Education and was also on stage playing Gary in the Broadway preview of Johnny Manhattan Regional credits include Mom’s Gift (with Cindy Williams), The Wiz, Once On This Island, Witness Uganda, From My Hometown (WILDE Award) and many others. Other credits include New York City Center ‘ENCORES!’ Finian’s Rainbow (Henry), City Center’s production of Bat Out of Hell (Jagwire). Concert appearances include PHISH 2011 New Year’s Eve concert at Madison Square Garden (featured singer/dancer), Mary Wilson of the Supremes Motown/Rock and Roll North America Tour (featured background singer), and the US Premiere of Sacred Ellington starring Jessye Norman with the Carnegie Hall ‘HONOR’ Series. He has been featured in many readings/workshops in NYC and has made numerous film and TV appearances throughout the U.S., Asia, and Europe. Film/TV credits include: The Joy in in the Work: Remembering Anne Reinking, Back to Me, Joyful Noise with Queen Latifah & Dolly Parton (Assistant Choreographer), Nickelodeon’s Shimmer and Shine (Choreographer), as well as commercials and voice overs. Tyrick’s voice was heard singing background off-Broadway and around the world on Royal Caribbean Cruise Ships in John Tartaglia’s Imaginocean. An NYC triple threat arts educator, he enjoys conducting auditions for Broadway Artists Alliance’s National Audition Tour and teaches master classes all across the US for companies like Broadway.com’s Broadway Classroom.
