Beth Leavel

(Actress) received a Tony® Award (as well as Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards) for her performance as the title character in The Drowsy Chaperone. She was most recently seen in the Broadway production of The Prom as Dee Dee Allen, for which she was also nominated for Tony® and Drama Desk Awards, and will soon be starring as Miranda Presley in The Devil Wears Prada. Other Broadway credits include Bandstand (June Adams), Baby It’s You (Florence Greenberg, Tony® nomination), Elf (Emily, original cast), Mamma Mia (Donna), Young Frankenstein (Frau Blucher), 42nd Street (revival, Annie), Crazy for You (Tess, original cast) The Civil War, (Mrs. Bixby, original cast), in Hal Prince’s Show Boat, (Ellie). New York/off-Broadway credits: Standing On Ceremony: The Gay Marriage Plays, Lone Star Love (Mrs. Ford), The Jazz Singer (Mary), An Unfinished Song (Beth), and No, No, Nanette (City Center Encores!). Regional credits: Annie (Miss Hannigan), A Little Night Music (Countess), Mame (Vera), Into the Woods (the Witch), and Dog and Pony (Old Globe Theatre). Beth has also sung in her own concert series at 54 Below for which she welcomed outstanding reviews. Film: This Is Where I Leave You (Renee).
