(Actress) won a 2015 Tony® Award for her portrayal of Lady Thiang in Broadway’s The King and I. Currently she can be seen on Broadway as Frieda/Betty in the new revival of Sunday in the Park With George, co-starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford. Ruthie Ann is also known for originating the role of Imelda Marcos in off-Broadway’s Here Lies Love, written by David Byrne w/DJ Fat Boy Slim, for which she received both the Lucille Lortel Award and Theatre World Award.
