Scholarship Video Requirements

To be considered for a BAA Scholarship, you must submit a Scholarship Audition Video in addition to the requested documents (tax return, parent letter, student letter, etc.). There are three different types of BAA Scholarships: Voice, Acting, and Dance (BAA Junior and College Audition Prep students may only apply for Voice and/or Acting Scholarships). You must submit one video for each Scholarship you wish to be considered for. Important note: the information below is for FIRST TIME SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS ONLY. If you have received a BAA Scholarship previously, you should submit the requested materials found on the previous page.

VOICE SCHOLARSHIP- 32 bars of your choice from ONE of the following songs (selection must be memorized). Please choose a piece that is appropriate for your age and type.

FEMALE SONGS

  • Everything Else from Next to Normal
  • I Want You Back, pop song performed by The Jackson Five
  • Some Day When It’s Me from the Wedding Singer
  • Someone to Watch Over Me from Oh, Kay!

  • It Only Takes a Moment from Hello Dolly

DANCE SCHOLARSHIP- Learn and perform the brief dance combination demonstrated at the link below. Please be sure to film the combination from the front. PLEASE NOTE: BAA Junior and College Audition Prep Seminar students are NOT eligible for Dance Scholarships.
