When should you audition? The sooner, the better as BAA admits students in a rolling basis (first come, first served)
What do you need to prepare for a live and/or Zoom audition? Preparation depends on your program and/or major(s) of interest and generally requires a combination of voice and acting pieces. Specific program audition requirements can be found here.
If you would like to be considered for ALL programs and majors, please prepare the following “catch all” audition package:

| ✔️ Two contrasting musical theatre song selection(s) (around 16-32 bars). | ||
| One can be a pop/ rock/ folk song if you’d like. | ||
| ✔️ One monologue (around 1 minute) OR a BAA Audition Scene: | ||

| BAA Jr. Candidates | Prepare any 2 or 3 pieces of your choice between song and monologues. |
| SESSION FOUR Candidates: | Starting this year, all candidates auditioning for Summer Session Four must submit vocal, acting AND dance materials: at least 1 song (16-32 bar cut) + 1 monologue (1min) + video dance combination (beginner/intermediate or advanced). You must submit your dance self-tape link before your Zoom audition takes place. |
| BAA Alumni: | If you’re a BAA Alumni re-auditioning to add an additional major to a program you’re already admitted to: prepare only the specific requirements for that new major! If you are looking to add a new Program to your admission, then prepare all requirements pertinent to that program. |

Which BAA programs require to complete an audition?
You need to complete an audition for any BAA program, whether via pre-recorded video or via Zoom, with the exception of College Prescreen Express weekends and the Adult Professional Workshop. For details about the particular admission process of the Adult Professional Workshop, click here!

How do Online Zoom Auditions work at BAA?
Zoom auditions begin with a complimentary parent information group session, after which individual auditions will take place. Each student has an individual audition time and will be seen privately (one-on-one) by the BAA Auditions team for Voice and/or Acting admission. Applicants interested in Session Four and Dance Majors consideration should submit the additional required dance video material for consideration.
