(Actor/Dancer) is a veteran song & dance man and currently a Professor of Theatre and Head of the Musical Theatre Program at the Webster Conservatory. He has performed in opera houses, national tours, and many Broadway shows, including the 1982 revival of On Your Toes, for which he received a Tony® nomination and the Outer Critics Circle Award and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, Happy New Year, and The Pirates of Penzance. A native of Oklahoma, Lara has performed on St. Louis MUNY stage since 1990 in such classics as Singin’In the Rain, Beauty and the Beast, and The Little Mermaid. For the Variety Children’s Theatre, he has directed and choreographed eight shows including Beauty and the Beast which earned him a St. Louis Critics Circle nomination for best choreography. He and his wife, Kristen, are the proud parents of Charlie, Elizabeth, Katherine and Maggie.
