Duncan Sheik

(Composer/Singer/Song Writer) won the 2007 Tony® Awards for Best Original Score and Best Musical as the composer for Broadway’s Spring Awakening, which also earned him a Grammy® Award for Best Musical Show Album. He most recently created a new musical with his Spring Awakening collaborator Steven Sater called Alice By Heart, which premiered at MCC Theatre in the spring of 2019. He first rose to fame in the 1990’s for his gold selling self-titled debut album and it’s lead hit single “Barely Breathing.” He also has released many other albums, plays for other musicians, and creates compositions for motion pictures. Duncan recently composed the music for the musical adaptation of American Psycho, as well as collaborating on a feature-film adaptation of Spring Awakening. Duncan’s studio album, Legerdemain, was released in Spring of 2015, and he recently co-headlined tour with Suzanne Vega titled Songs from New York City: From Bleecker Street to Broadway.
