Renée Elise Goldsberry

Renee Elise Goldsberry(Actress) won the Tony®, Drama Desk, and Lucille Lortel Awards for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler Church in the Broadway musical Hamilton (which also received a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album). Her other Broadway credits include The Color Purple (Nettie Harris, original cast), Rent (Mimi Márquez), Good People (Kate Dillon), and The Lion King (Nala). Off-Broadway: Two Gentlemen of Verona (Silvia), The Baker’s Wife (Genevieve Castagnet), Love’s Labour’s Lost (Princess of France), As You Like It (Celia), Hamilton (Angelica Schuyler Church). She has also worked extensively in TV, including One Life to Live (Evangeline Williamson, two Daytime Emmy Award nominations), The Good Wife (Geneva Pine), Ally McBeal, Law & Order: SVU.
